I'm not sure if i'm just blind,but where is the "contribute art" button?
It should be located near the top of the group's page...if you cannot locate it there, you can try clicking on the folder you would like to contribute to or even click on the gallery button at the top of the group's page (where it will take you to the folders) and there you should find the 'contribute art' or 'contribute to this folder/gallery'

can i ask, how do I know if i get accepted in to the group?
There should be a box in your messages about the group awaiting approval...with a 'accepted' or 'declined' ...or maybe even 'yes' or 'no' im not too sure
